In Marathon, shops are busiest on Monday mornings and before holiday weekends, so a mid-week appointment gets a car seen faster. Labor rates across New York vary by neighborhood and by shop type, from small independents to dealership service bays, and mobile mechanics now cover many routine jobs in the driveway. Before authorizing a repair, ask for the estimate in writing, whether the shop warranties parts and labor (12 months / 12,000 miles is common, some offer more), and whether it can provide a loaner or a shuttle. Check the listing for hours, the makes the shop works on and its Google rating, then call ahead, since walk-in capacity is limited at smaller shops.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are Open 24 hours. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Redline Roadservice at (607) 849-4134; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.
Customers rate it 4.4 out of 5 on Google across 22 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded auto repair shops in Marathon.
Marathon is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Marathon follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Lindsey helped me get home when I shredded a tire near Marathon. It was Sunday, I had high performance summer tires that usually have to be ordered and he found a perfectly serviceable used tire at his friendβs garage, mounted and balanced it, and it got me 4 hours home. I was waiting on slow, unreliable AAA when I decided on self-help and called Redline. So glad I did. I wish everyone had his customer service ethic.

Tire shredded on 81 by Marathon. My wife called our roadside assistance through our insurance and they came and swapped to the donut and left. The donut was under the car for 11 years and was flat as well. I came 2 hours from Rochester to swap cars with my wife who was going to Philadelphia. Insurance roadside quoted $900 to tow back to Rochester. I found Redline and although he didn't have my size tire he did have one close and I was able to get on the road back home vs being towed and sleeping in the car for a shop to open. Very thankful.

The gentleman was very knowledgeable. He came out at night and diagnosed the problem. No one else was available. Because he couldnβt fix it he didnβt charge me anything. He seems like a very honest person.

Called to have my Commercial vehicle serviced road side. He stated his rate was $150/hr plus parts, taxes and a credit card fee. After working on the truck for 70 minutes. He charged us for 2 hrs of labor. Then accused us of trying to βsplit hairsβ with for asking about the price. Not even sure he knows what heβs doing.

On our way home during our 6 hour trip from Buffalo, we got a flat on our box truck. Not a tire that most people will have in stock. And being it was 530 at night on a Sun, good luck finding anyone open or willing to help us. One person told us that he would charge us $590 just for the service call then we'd have to buy the tire on top of that and he didn't even know if he could get us the tire. Last ditch effort call to Redline and lo & behold not only did he have just 1 of that tire, he put it on for us in no time and had us back on the road. What a genuinely nice guy. Restores my faith in humanity. Thank you so much help. You really saved us.
